Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) says his spouse obtained a number of nameless textual content messages that warned what would occur to his political profession if he didn’t again Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) run for the Home speaker position.
“Jim’s been good, one-on-one, however his broader group has been enjoying hardball,” Bacon informed Politico in a narrative revealed Tuesday.
In an trade that Politico’s Olivia Beavers shared on X, previously Twitter, the unidentified texter requested Bacon’s spouse: “Why is your husband inflicting chaos by not supporting Jim Jordan? I assumed he was a group participant.”
Bacon’s spouse replied: “Who is that this???”
The texter stated: “Your husband is not going to maintain any political workplace ever once more. What a disappoint (sic) and failure he’s.”
Bacon’s spouse fired again: “He has extra braveness than you. You gained’t put your title to your statements.”

Jordan, whose allies have reportedly engaged in other strong-arm tactics as a part of his marketing campaign, lost the first floor vote on Tuesday evening.
