Home fails to elect speaker for third time


For the third time this week, no candidate obtained the mandatory votes to grow to be speaker of the Home of Representatives. Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, whose social gathering holds the bulk within the Home, solely obtained 194 votes, which was 5 fewer votes than on Wednesday. It has been greater than two weeks since Rep. Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Home speaker.
