17-year-old arrested for killing a taco truck proprietor in South Houston

HOUSTONThe Houston Police Division has arrested the second man concerned in a lethal capturing on 8524 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Freeway 45) service highway on Oct. 13.

Jimmie Daniels, 21, is believed to be the second man concerned within the capturing of 29-year-old taco truck proprietor Roberto Almaguer Garza.

Police say Dominic Griffin, 17, and Daniels tried to rob Almaguer Garza at gunpoint.

In the course of the theft, a scuffle ensued, throughout which Almaguer Garza was shot a number of instances.

Police say they responded to the capturing at a gasoline station round 3:43am and located Almaguer Garza struggling a number of gun wounds.

Paramedics from the Houston Hearth Division responded to the scene and likewise pronounced Almaguer Garza lifeless.

Following the capturing, Daniels, who was already in custody for an unrelated crime, ran away in an unknown route, based on police.

On Oct. 26, Daniels was charged for his function on this deadly capturing.

Police say Daniels and Griffen have been charged with capital homicide within the 487th State District Courtroom.
