A former aide to Melania Trump dished Sunday on Donald Trump’s mindset in the case of his spouse.
“He fears her, I might say,” Stephanie Grisham informed MSNBC’s Alex Witt.
Grisham’s evaluation got here forward of Monday’s begin of Trump’s felony hush cash trial. The previous president allegedly paid, through the 2016 election, porn actor Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal to maintain quiet about alleged sexual encounters.
When the information of the allegations broke, Grisham recalled how “internally, folks within the West Wing had been nervous of what us within the East Wing could be doing.”
Grisham served as chief of employees and press secretary to Melania Trump. She later grew to become the Trump White Home press secretary after which communications director.
“I recall one time the previous president calling me from Air Pressure One to principally see how offended she was and to see if we had been placing any statements out as a result of we by no means checked with the West Wing if we had been going to say something so he positively was anxious,” she defined. “The West Wing was continually checking in with me.”
Grisham “by no means shared with them [Melania Trump’s] ideas on it as a result of that was type of private personal conversations between the 2 of us,” she added. “After I stated we’re not going to the State of the Union or she’s going to simply meet him on Air Pressure One, I ended there they usually all knew within the West Wing to not push additional or ask her to do any greater than that.”
