Automobile crash close to Erie’s Bayfront Parkway claims lifetime of motorist whose automotive flipped over

A 37-year-old motorist was killed Thursday afternoon in a one-car crash that ended with the automotive on its roof off a facet avenue close to the Bayfront Parkway simply north of the intersection with East Sixth Road.
The accident was reported shortly after 2:20 p.m. at East Fifth and Wayne streets, simply west of the parkway, Erie police and hearth officers on the scene mentioned. Wayne Road runs parallel to the parkway.
The automotive, a sedan, was headed east on East Fifth Road when it hit a curb simply as East Fifth Road turns into Wayne Road, Police Chief Dan Spizarny mentioned.
Spizarny mentioned the automotive went over the curb and flipped the other way up close to the railroad tracks between the parkway and Wayne Road.
Spizarny and Deputy Erie County Coroner John Maloney confirmed that the motorist died on the scene. Maloney mentioned the motorist was 37. He mentioned the Coroner’s Workplace would launch his identify pending notification of the household.
The accident was reported at 2:22 p.m., Assistant Fireplace Chief Gregory Buy mentioned. He mentioned firefighters arrived about three minutes later.
Cops cordoned off the scene as a crowd gathered. Various onlookers cried as they discovered that the motorist had died.
