Household sues Disney for $50K after man finds fiancee unconscious on the finish of Humunga Kowabunga water slide


Walt Disney Parks has been sued by a lady who alleges she misplaced consciousness and suffered a mind damage after using an enormous water slide at Storm Lagoon.

Laura Reyes-Merino is searching for $50,000 in damages and claims in courtroom papers that the park was negligent for failing to take care of the journey.

Legal professionals for Ms Reyes-Merino state that she was injured when she rode a tube on the Humunga Kowabunga journey on 11 Could on the Florida theme park.

It’s described within the lawsuit as a 60-degree angle, 214-foot, downhill and enclosed physique slide. She alleges that she fell unconscious on it as a result of “banging contained in the slide.”

Court docket papers state that her fiancé and his mom discovered her limp physique on the finish of the journey and “frantically requested the attendants to assist.”

These attendants stated that they weren’t lifeguards and must discover somebody to assist. In the meantime, the girl’s fiancé pulled her from the water whereas that assist was on its manner.

“Ultimately a lifeguard got here and stated they couldn’t assist or contact Plaintiff both and known as an ambulance,” courtroom paperwork state.

“Had Defendant had lifeguards on the finish of the journey to look at and assist company coming off the journey, Plaintiff’s mind damage wouldn’t have occurred as she wouldn’t have been drowning within the water coughing up blood.”
