Santa Barbara County has issued an evacuation warning for residents in japanese Santa Barbara County as a hillside wildfire burned tons of of acres within the space.
The fire began around 12 p.m. southeast of New Cuyama close to the intersection of Kirschenmenn Street and Foothill Street with a “average charge of unfold,” Santa Barbara County Hearth Division spokesperson Scott Safechuck mentioned on social media.
4 air tankers and two helicopters responded to the hearth round 1 p.m., Safechuck mentioned.
As of 4:41 p.m., the hearth had burned 632 acres. An evacuation warning is in place for residents within the areas south of Foothill Street from Castro Canyon to Santa Barbara Canyon.
Safechuck mentioned the hearth was persevering with to south burn at a “average charge” towards Los Padres Nationwide Forest.
