BEIJING (Reuters) – China is strongly against U.S. arms gross sales to Taiwan and urges Washington to withdraw them instantly, the defence ministry mentioned on Friday.

The ministry mentioned it had lodged a criticism to america over the matter.

“(China’s navy) will proceed to strengthen its navy coaching and workout routines, and resolutely defend nationwide sovereignty and territorial integrity,” it added in a press release.

The U.S. State Division accepted the sale of F-16 fighter jet spare and restore components to Taiwan for an estimated $80 million, the Pentagon’s Protection Safety Cooperation Company mentioned on Wednesday.

The sale will assist to enhance Taiwan’s safety, preserve political stability and the navy steadiness, and help financial progress within the area, the Pentagon mentioned.

Taiwan mentioned the sale, anticipated to be finalized in July, would increase the fight and defence wants of its air drive.
