‘Touring 143 MPH in a what?’ Police clocks driver going almost 80 MPH over velocity restrict on GA 400


A driver caught touring on Georgia 400 at 143 mph was arrested final week.

On June 4, round 10:12 p.m. officers had been monitoring site visitors on GA 400.

In accordance with Sandy Springs officers, officers noticed a 2023 Cadillac CT5-V touring 143 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The motive force, whose age and id weren’t launched, was charged with tremendous speeder and reckless driving.

The Georgia Department of Driver Services states that ‘tremendous speeders’ are drivers ticketed for touring 75 mph or quicker on a two-lane street or 85 mph or quicker on different roads or highways.

“We need to remind everybody (that) rushing and reckless driving won’t be tolerated in Sandy Springs,” the division stated.
