Three useless in upstate New York head-on collision; investigation ongoing


Three persons are useless following a crash in upstate New York on Friday.

On July 19, at roughly 4:50 p.m., the New York State Police responded to a two-car head-on collision on I-86 eastbound within the city of Chemung, Chemung County.

A preliminary investigation revealed {that a} 2018 Nissan Maxima, operated by a 36-year-old male touring westbound on I-86, crossed over the median and struck a 2015 Acura RDX touring eastbound. The Acura had two occupants: an 18-year-old male operator and a 44-year-old feminine.

All three occupants had been pronounced useless on the scene.

The identities of these concerned weren’t instantly launched.

The New York State Police had been assisted by the Chemung County Sheriff’s Workplace, New York State Division of Transportation, Chemung Fireplace Division, Higher Valley Emergency Medical Companies, and Wellsburg Fireplace Division.

The investigation is ongoing.
