Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Friday launched a video displaying fires and explosions on a vessel within the Crimson Sea. It is thought that the vessel is the Sounion, a Greek-flagged oil tanker which had been attacked by the rebels earlier this week. It wasn’t instantly clear what had occurred to the tanker, which was deserted by its crew on Thursday and reportedly anchored in place. Authorities now say the vessel seems to be adrift within the Crimson Sea.
