Kansas gov. orders flags to half-staff statewide, right here’s why

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is ordering flags to be lowered throughout the Sunflower State Friday.

Kelly’s order directs flags to be lowered on all state buildings, grounds and services instantly to half-staff till sunset on the burial day of Kansas State Consultant Marvin Robinson. A Kansas Metropolis, Kansas resident, he passed away at the age of 67 and has represented Kansas Home District 35 since 2023.

“Consultant Robinson confirmed a dedication to public service all through his time within the Navy and the Kansas Legislature,” Kelly stated. “My ideas exit to his family and friends throughout this troublesome time.”

The flag order will likely be up to date when the day of Robinson’s internment is introduced.
