Backyard State Parkway has 20-mile delay as vacation visitors picks up
Attempting to depart the Jersey Shore after the lengthy vacation weekend? It would take some time.
As of 1:10 p.m., delays and pockets of heavy visitors quantity are inflicting slowdowns on the northbound Backyard State Parkway, from simply north of Exit 82A in Toms River to simply south of Exit 102 in Tinton Falls, in accordance with 511nj.org, which tracks visitors on the state’s main roadways.
That quantities to a couple of 20-mile back-up.
INRIX, a provider of transportation data, said 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today is the worst time to travel by car when returning home from the Jersey Shore. Tomorrow the perfect time to journey house is after 1 p.m., with the worst instances between 8 a.m. and midday.
