75-year-old Trinway man dies following Monday crash involving an ATV and automobile


CASS TOWNSHIP − The Ohio Highway Patrol is constant to research a two-vehicle deadly crash that occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday on the intersection of North Dresden and Gene Cox roads.

In keeping with a press launch from the patrol publish, a 2015 Ford Fusion pushed by a 17-year-old from Dresden was northbound on North Dresden Highway when a 1999 Yamaha Massive Bear ATV was eastbound on Backside Highway. The ATV did not yield on the cease signal, the discharge said.

The ATV was pushed by Danny Paynter, 75, of Trinway. The identify of the juvenile hasn’t been launched. The patrol publish mentioned the ATV was struck by the Fusion. Paynter was transported to Genesis Hospital after which later flown to a Columbus medical facility for additional remedy.

The patrol publish mentioned Paynter died of accidents from the crash on Tuesday. The teenager wasn’t injured.

Aiding on scene had been Dresden and Frazeysburg hearth departments and emergency medical providers and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Workplace.
