A lady died Thursday after a tire landed on her whereas working at a Des Moines tire plant.
The lady, who was not recognized, died whereas working at Titan Worldwide Inc.’s plant at 2345 E. Market St., Titan Worldwide officers stated in an announcement Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred Thursday morning and first responders have been known as to the scene, the assertion stated.
“Titan deeply regrets to announce the tragic lack of a QPS Employment Group worker who was performing companies at our Des Moines, IA facility,” the assertion stated.
“Our ideas are with the worker’s household, buddies, and colleagues throughout this extremely troublesome time,” the assertion stated.
Des Moines Police Division officers decided that the employee was killed after a several-hundred-pound tire fell on her, spokesperson Sgt. Paul Parizek instructed the Register. Titan is working with police, in accordance with its assertion.
Officers declined to supply any extra particulars of the worker, however stated the incident is being investigated by the QPS Employment Group and Titan Distribution security groups. QPS is an employment companies firm that helps staff discover momentary and everlasting jobs.
