Two Delta planes clipped one another on the taxiway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport on Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews had been seen within the space, trying on the aircraft injury. Delta stated in a press release that there have been no accidents on both aircraft.
“At roughly 10:07 a.m., the wing of an Airbus A350 taxiing out as DL295 from Atlanta to Tokyo-Haneda made contact with the tail of an Endeavor Air CRJ-900, DL5526 to LaFayette, Louisiana, on an adjoining taxiway, leading to injury to the tail of the regional jet and the wing of the A350,” the airline stated in a press release.

Delta stated there have been 221 individuals on the flight to Tokyo and there have been 56 individuals on the flight to Lafayette.
Jason Adams, a passenger on the smaller Delta Endeavor jet, described the terrifying moments when the collision occurred.
“Hastily, bam. Simply obtained hit by one thing. Received utterly jarred out of my seat,” Adams stated.

Adams, a meteorologist heading to Louisiana for climate protection, instructed Channel 2′s Tom Regan that he heard a loud scraping sound because the wing of a bigger Delta Airbus jet collided along with his aircraft, tearing off the tail part.
The collision prompted passengers to be thrown from their seats, resulting in a wave of panic.
“Folks had been screaming. It was jarring, individuals being thrown out of their seats, and it was terrifying. Folks actually screaming, considering like, what’s occurring,” Adams stated.
The Federal Aviation Administration shared the next assertion on social media in regards to the incident:
“Whereas Delta Air Strains Flight 295 was taxiing for departure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport, its wingtip struck the tail of Endeavor Air Flight 5526. The Delta Airbus A350 was headed to Tokyo. The Endeavor Bombardier CRJ900 was headed to Lafayette, Louisiana. The FAA will examine the incident, which occurred on the intersection of two taxiways round 10:10 a.m. native time on Tuesday, Sept. 10.”
Endeavor is a subsidiary of Delta Air Strains.
