The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints publicizes October Common Convention schedule


SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints introduced the schedule for October’s semi-annual normal convention, which shall be held on the Conference Center in Downtown Salt Lake Metropolis.

The convention will happen Oct. 5 and Oct. 6 in 5 two-hour classes. Saturday could have morning, afternoon, and night classes. Sunday could have morning and afternoon classes.

The announcement got here on Sept. 5, forward of a busy weekend for the LDS church’s First Presidency, celebrating President and Prophet Russell M. Nelson’s 100th birthday on Monday, Sept. 9.

The church’s First Presidency, which consists of President Nelson and his two counselors — President Henry B. Eyring and President Dallin H. Oaks — introduced the classes in a letter supposed to be learn to all congregations, often known as branches or wards.

“Common classes for all people, households, and associates shall be held Saturday morning, afternoon, and night, October 5, in addition to Sunday morning and afternoon, October 6.
