Seashore stairs broke aside, fell towards dune at in style Cape Cod seashore


SOUTH WELLFLEET — The late-week storm proved to be an excessive amount of for the Marconi Beach stairs.

There was no entry Sunday to Marconi Seashore from the South Wellfleet seashore parking zone however the seashore continues to be reachable by foot from Maguire Landing at Lecount Hollow in Wellfleet and Nauset Light Beach in Eastham. Each of those entry factors would require a greater than two-mile, one-way stroll to succeed in Marconi Seashore.

The Seashore changed the ageing and weathered stairs on the seashore. Over time, the stairway has needed to be rebuilt on account of storm injury. The rebuilt stairway was a part of a collection of development tasks together with highway and parking zone paving, new indicators, restroom updates and payment sales space replacements “geared toward enhancing customer security and park infrastructure,” in line with a Seashore launch.
