Musk says SpaceX plans to launch about 5 uncrewed Starships to Mars in two years

(Reuters) – SpaceX plans to launch about 5 uncrewed Starships to Mars in two years, Chief Govt Officer Elon Musk mentioned in a publish on social media platform X on Sunday.

“If these all land safely, then crewed missions are potential in 4 years,” he mentioned, including that in case of any challenges the crewed missions will probably be postponed one other two years.

“It doesn’t matter what occurs with touchdown success, SpaceX will improve the variety of spaceships touring to Mars exponentially with each transit alternative,” the SpaceX founder mentioned.

Musk talked about the launch of the uncrewed Starships to Mars earlier this month in a publish on X, saying “first Starships to Mars will launch in 2 years when the subsequent Earth-Mars switch window opens.”
