Mainesburg man dies after 2-car crash, second freeway fatality in Tioga County this week

For the second time this week, a Tioga County, Pennsylvania resident has died in a motorcar crash.

A Mainesburg man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 6 simply east of Mansfield, in accordance with Pennsylvania State Police at Mansfield.

State police recognized the sufferer as 75-year-old Ronald S. Padleski.

The crash befell shortly earlier than 3 p.m. Wednesday on the intersection of Route 6 and state Route 549 in Richmond Township, state police stated.

Padleski was turning left onto Route 6 from Route 549 to move east when his 2012 Jeep Patriot was struck by a westbound Kenworth Northwest truck, in accordance with troopers.

Padleski was transported to UPMC Wellsboro, the place he was pronounced useless. The motive force of the truck was not injured, state police stated.

The investigation is continuous and no fees have been filed.

State police had been assisted on the scene by Mansfield Fireplace/EMS, the Pennsylvania Division of Transportation, American Truck Cease, and Crosskey’s Towing.

On Tuesday, a Tioga Township girl was struck by a vehicle and killed in front of her residence on state Route 287.

State police stated Margorie Jackson was crossing the road after checking her mailbox when she stepped in entrance of an oncoming car. No fees have been filed in that incident.
