HEBER, Utah (ABC4) — Firefighters battling the devastating Yellow Lake Hearth within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache Nationwide Forest noticed some reduction after this week’s storm dropped an inch of rain and 6 inches of snow onto the hearth space.
As of Friday, Oct. 18, the hearth has burned over 33,000 acres and didn’t develop in a single day. It’s nonetheless solely 30% contained.

With a winter storm warning in impact and sub-freezing temperatures anticipated within the space, fireplace administration groups have launched extra fireplace sources from the scene. Hearth officers will proceed to maintain the neighborhood concerned by internet hosting neighborhood conferences on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Kamas Center College and on Sunday, Oct. 20, on the Tabiona College gymnasium.
