A person has been charged for punching and sexually assaulting a girl after forcing his manner into her house.
The person, who was unknown to the sufferer, knocked on her door in Ashington, Northumberland, between 23:45 BST on 24 September and 02:20 the subsequent day, Northumbria Police stated.
A 20-year-old was arrested and has now been charged with intentional strangulation, assault occasioning precise bodily hurt and sexual assault.
