Explosions heard in Iran’s Tehran and close by Karaj, state media say


DUBAI (Reuters) -A number of loud explosions had been heard in Iran’s capital Tehran and the close by metropolis of Karaj early on Saturday, semi-official Iranian media stated, including that the trigger was unknown.

Iran’s state TV stated a number of robust explosions had been heard across the capital, however there was no official remark in regards to the supply of the explosions.

Israel has been planning a response to a ballistic-missile barrage carried out by Iran on Oct. 1, Tehran’s second direct assault on Israel in six months.

Iranian authorities have warned Israel towards launching an assault, saying any strike on Iran can be met with a stronger retaliation.

Witnesses in Tehran confirmed listening to loud explosions.

“It was so loud and the sky grew to become purple,” stated an Iranian resident in Tehran, who requested to not be named.
