Tristán was previously married to Colombian drug lord, Joaquín Valencia, with who she had 5 kids. 

Valencia was extradited from his native Colombia to Florida in 2004. 

Valencia was convicted for drug trafficking and cash laundering in 2007 by a federal courtroom for the Center District of Florida. 

He was sentenced to 40 years and ordered to give up $110 million.

Witnesses recognized Valencia because the successor of the Orejuela brothers, who based the Cali Cartel, and stated he shipped extra that 100 tons of cocaine between the early Nineties and January 2003, when he was arrested in Bogotá.
